Le Neuvième Art
Restaurant

2-star gourmet restaurant in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon

Le Neuvième Art

Come and discover a fine dining venue in Lyon's Brotteaux district and share an enjoyable moment as you sample the creative and colourful cuisine of chef Christophe Roure, winner of the "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" (Best Craftsman of France) accolade in 2007.

Just a stone's throw from the Parc de la Tête d'Or and a few minutes from La Part-Dieu, our two-Michelin-star restaurant boasts an inviting dining room with a sober and elegant decor that perfectly accompanies the spirit of the disheson offer.

Culinary spirit

Chef Christophe Roure and his wife Nati invite you to sample their refined and seasonal cuisine packed full of sublime flavours and produce.

Christophe Roure, winner of the coveted "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" (Best Craftsman of France) accolade in 2007, steers a skilful course between the classics and modern dishes in pursuit of his vision of fine dining. The chef initially develops his dishes from a technical perspective, leveraging the expertise that he has acquired from some of the biggest names who have left an indelible mark on the history of French gastronomy, such as Paul Bocuse and Pierre Gagnaire.

Drawing on this traditional legacy, he adds his own identity and controlled inventive streak, an example being a dish of foie gras transformed into a stunning strawberry gateau. Rigour, taste and the art of presentation, all of which without the slightest hint of pretentiousness, harmoniously infuse every culinary creation, eliciting emotion and surprise with each encounter.

An extensive wine list is also available and has been designed as the ideal accompaniment to the restaurant's cuisine. Feel free to ask us for advice when choosing the perfect wine for your meal.

Chef Christophe Roure

In 2003, Christophe Roure became chef of his own restaurant in the Loire region and won his own star only 10 or so months after opening the restaurant with his wife. In 2007, he achieved the supreme accolade of "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" (Best Craftsman of France). The following year, a second Michelin® star crowned his career.

Drawing strength from his experience-rich background, Christophe Roure decided to embark upon a new adventure - this time in Lyon. He and his wife purchased a restaurant in the 6th arrondissement, near the old Brotteaux train station. Since June 2014, France's fine dining capital has been strengthened with a new restaurant that has already become a culinary hotspot: Le Neuvième Art.

Spirit of the gourmet restaurant

Since June 2014, the Le Neuvième Art restaurant has welcomed diners to its new quarters in Lyon. Chef Christophe Roure and his wife Nati bid you the warmest possible welcome. Discover - or rediscover - this restaurant in Lyon city centre.

In May 2013, "Le Neuvième Art. Restaurant. Christophe Roure" was published by De Borée. With a foreword by Pierre Troisgros, this book takes a look back at the history of our restaurant and our cuisine.

A refined and seasonal culinary style

Chef Christophe Roure draws on the rigour and techniques that he learned during his stints in some of the most prestigious restaurants to offer a culinary style that combines traditional French cuisine with the touches of modernity that reflect his personality and creative streak.
He is skilled at transforming produce into the most sublime flavour-packed meals, while designing seasonal dishes that elicit a myriad of emotions.
